Welcome to Morpeth Conservative Club...

Originally founded in September 1887 by four local businessmen, in the very early days Morpeth Conservative Club was a reading and billiards establishment only, with alcohol not even being sold on the premises for the first twenty three years.

After occupying several town centre properties over the years, the Club purchased its current home , Harle House, Newgate street for £3000 in 1947. Over recent years the property has been renovated and refurbished to provide high quality facilities for members using the bar, entrance foyer and snooker room. The lounge can be booked free of charge by members for functions such as birthdays, anniversaries, retirements and christenings.

Throughout the year members can enjoy music nights, trips, barbeques (although we are’nt always lucky with the weather!) and excellent buffets on special occasions such as New Year’s Day. A wide range of beers (including real ale), wines and spirits are on offer at very competitive prices.

Several societies are active within the Club including, golf, fishing,darts and bowls – all are keen to welcome new members.
